Phrases Verbs are one of the most difficult thing in English.
أنا جاي أقولك هنا مافيش حاجة اسمها حفظ وخلاص. على العكس في سبب وسبب مقنع كمان.وسيبك من اللي بيقولك أحفظ وكمان الطريقة القديمة في التدريس هتقولك أحفظ
A traditional teaching methods tells that you have to look at these phrases verbs and memorize them and repeat and repeat.
What if I tell you these phrasal verbs do have a deep logic and deep meaning?
Once you know the logic behind them , their meaning will
come easy.
أنا جاي أقولك أن Phrases verbs معنى و معنى عميق كمان. لو أنت أدركت المعنى العميق ده هيبقوا سهلين جداً في مذاكرتهم. بس لازم نفهم في الأول أن فيه حاجة في اللغة اسمها علم اللغة الإدراكي أو المعرفي.

فيه حاجة في علم اللغة اسمها علم اللغة المعرفي أو الإدراكي. علم اللغة الإدراكي ده من خلاله يخبرنا عن الطريقة اللي الأنسان بيشوف بيها اللغة وكمان بيعرفنا مدى تأثير اللغة على خبراتنا.
Formation of Phrasal verbs
A verb Plus one preposition or more than one preposition.
شكل phrases verb عبارة عن فعل ومزودين عليه حرف جر أو أكثر من حرف جر مثال على ذلك
Move away Drove up Go up Break down
يبقي عندنا الفعل وعندنا حرف الجر مين الأهم عشان نركز عليه؟
The verb is important but the most important part is
preposition.
preposition can change the meaning of verbs and understanding the
meaning of these prepositions are the key to
understand the phrasal verbs.
الفعل مهم بس خلي بالك حرف الجر أهم وكمان حرف الجر ممكن يغير معنى الفعل . يبقي أنت لو درست معاني حروف الجر هتعرف معنى phrases verbs بسهولة.
وفي هذه التدوينة سأتكلم عن UP كمثال على أننا لو استوعبنا معاني حروف الجر سنتعامل مع phrases بشكل احترافي.
UP meanings
Towards a higher position; towards a higher value, number, or level:
طبعاً احنا عارفين up معناها زي ما يكون فيه حاجة طالعة عامل زي الصورة
Examples
Greater quantity of something
Phrasal verbs which contain up can refer to the greater
quantity of something.
I order you to speak up.
المعنى الثاني إلى UP هو الزيادة في كمية الشيء. أو الزيادة في مستوى شيء
Examples
speak up means to increase the
level of your voice.
The cost of car insurance is up, but not very much.هنا بقول أن تأمين السيارة مرتفع الثمن .
When I move something up, I bring it to your vision.
When we bring something up so we make it visible من معاني up المشهورة جداً هي الرؤية. أو بمعنى أخر أن فيه حاجة أصبحت قريبة منك و تراها بعينك.
Examples
He walked up to the cashier and demanded money.
A young girl came up to me and asked for money.
A car drove up alongside. (ours)
And also when something is on our vision, we can start to know it to understand it
So coming up is synonym for understanding
Look up a word in a dictionary.
Broken or cut into smaller pieces; made smaller in area:
when you destroy something, the direction is up. لو جيت في مرة كسرت قلم فدائما هتلاقى اتجاه الكسر للأعلى
Examples
He cut the letter up into a hundred pieces.
The car blew up when flames reached its fuel tank.
مش كده وبس ده كمان ليها تأثير على الجانب النفسي وده بنلاقيه في قطع العلاقات زي ما نقول
They broke up.
ده معناها أنهم أنهوا العلاقة.
