JRE Strategy for Reading
ما هي استراتيجية JRE؟
JRE = Justification – Reason – Evidence
وهي طريقة تساعد الطالب على التعامل مع أسئلة الـ Reading Comprehension بطريقة منظمة، خصوصًا الأسئلة التي تحتاج إلى التفكير والتحليل وليس مجرد البحث عن كلمة مطابقة في النص.
J – Justification: ما الإجابة التي اخترتها؟ ولماذا هي الإجابة الصحيحة؟
R – Reason: ما السبب أو الفكرة التي جعلتك تختار هذه الإجابة؟
E – Evidence: ما الدليل الموجود في النص الذي يثبت إجابتك؟
بمعنى بسيط:
Answer → Why? → Where is the proof?
1. Justification – تبرير الإجابة
أول خطوة هي أن الطالب يحدد إجابته بوضوح.
مثلاً:
Question:
Why did Ahmed decide to study English?
A. He wanted to travel.
B. He wanted to get a better job.
C. His parents forced him to study it.
D. His friends encouraged him.
إذا كان النص يقول:
Ahmed decided to study English because he believed it would help him find a better job.
فالطالب يختار:
B. He wanted to get a better job.
دي هي الـ Justification أو تحديد الإجابة التي يراها صحيحة.
2. Reason – السبب
بعد اختيار الإجابة، الطالب يسأل نفسه:
Why did I choose this answer?
يعني:
لماذا اخترت B؟
لأن النص يربط دراسة الإنجليزية بالحصول على وظيفة أفضل.
إذن الطالب لا يعتمد فقط على وجود كلمة job، لكنه يفهم العلاقة بين الأفكار.
وده مهم جدًا في أسئلة القراءة الحديثة؛ لأن الإجابة الصحيحة أحيانًا لا تكون مكتوبة بنفس كلمات الاختيار.
3. Evidence – الدليل
هنا الطالب يرجع للنص ويبحث عن الدليل الذي يثبت اختياره.
في المثال السابق:
"he believed it would help him find a better job."
دي هي الـ Evidence.
إذن الطالب أصبح عنده:
J → B
R → Studying English could help him get a better job.
E → "help him find a better job."
مثال كامل للطلاب
Read the following passage:
Mona started learning English when she was twelve. At first, she found it difficult because she did not understand many words. However, she continued practising every day. She watched English videos, read short stories and spoke English with her classmates. After two years, she became much more confident and started speaking English fluently.
Question:
Why did Mona become more confident in English?
A. She travelled to England.
B. She practised English regularly.
C. Her teacher gave her easier lessons.
D. She stopped reading English stories.
تطبيق JRE
J – Justification
الإجابة الصحيحة:
B. She practised English regularly.
R – Reason
لأن Mona كانت تمارس اللغة الإنجليزية كل يوم من خلال مشاهدة الفيديوهات وقراءة القصص والتحدث مع زملائها.
E – Evidence
"she continued practising every day."
إذن:
Answer → Reason → Evidence
لماذا JRE مهمة في Reading؟
استراتيجية JRE بتدرب الطالب على أكثر من مهارة في نفس الوقت:
1. Finding Evidence
الطالب يتعلم إزاي يحدد الدليل داخل النص.
2. Making Inferences
الطالب يتعلم إنه يستنتج معلومات مش مكتوبة بشكل مباشر.
3. Understanding the Main Idea
الطالب يربط التفاصيل بالفكرة الأساسية.
4. Distinguishing Fact from Opinion
الطالب يبحث عن الدليل بدل ما يعتمد على رأيه الشخصي.
5. Understanding the Writer's Ideas
الطالب يتعلم يفهم لماذا الكاتب قال هذه الفكرة.
مثال على سؤال يحتاج Inference
Passage:
Adam had an important exam the next morning. Instead of playing video games with his friends, he stayed at home and reviewed his lessons until midnight.
Question:
What can we infer about Adam?
A. He did not care about the exam.
B. He was preparing seriously for the exam.
C. He disliked studying.
D. He wanted to play video games all night.
JRE
J – Justification:
B. He was preparing seriously for the exam.
R – Reason:
He gave up playing with his friends and spent the evening reviewing his lessons.
E – Evidence:
"he stayed at home and reviewed his lessons until midnight."
لاحظ هنا إن النص لم يقل حرفيًا:
Adam was serious about his exam.
لكن الطالب استنتج ذلك من الأدلة.
وده بالضبط النوع المهم من التفكير في Reading.
JRE مع أسئلة Multiple Choice
ممكن تدرب طلابك على القاعدة دي:
Don't choose → prove.
يعني:
❌ ما تختارش الإجابة وخلاص.
ولكن:
✅ Choose → Explain → Prove
أو بالعربي:
اختار → فسّر → أثبت
وده هيخلي الطالب أقل اعتمادًا على الـ guessing وأكثر اعتمادًا على فهم النص.
JRE مع سؤال "Why?"
Passage:
Sara decided to walk to school instead of taking the bus because she wanted to exercise and become healthier.
Question:
Why did Sara walk to school?
Answer:
Because she wanted to exercise and become healthier.
Reason:
Walking gave her a chance to exercise.
Evidence:
"because she wanted to exercise and become healthier."
JRE مع سؤال "What can we infer?"
Passage:
Tom looked at the dark clouds and took an umbrella before leaving the house.
Question:
What can we infer?
A. Tom expected rain.
B. Tom wanted to buy an umbrella.
C. Tom hated walking.
D. Tom was going to the beach.
JRE
J: A. Tom expected rain.
R: He saw dark clouds and took an umbrella.
E:
"looked at the dark clouds and took an umbrella"
هنا الطالب استخدم Evidence → Inference.
طريقة سهلة تشرحها للطلاب في الفصل
ممكن تكتب على السبورة:
JRE
J = What is your answer?
⬇️
R = Why do you think so?
⬇️
E = Where is the evidence?
وبعد كده تقول لهم:
"Never trust your answer until you can prove it from the text."
ودي ممكن تخليها قاعدة أساسية عندك في تدريب الـReading.
